This gazebo-style hanging feeder holds about 2.2 lb (1 kg) of seed in a clear hexagonal compartment under a green roof. Seed flows out to six ports at the base, and the green tray below catches what the birds scatter. It hangs from the cable loop at the top of the roof.

What it does

  • Six feeding ports around the base let several birds eat at the same time.
  • The clear compartment, about 5.1 in × 4.5 in × 5.5 in (13 × 11.5 × 14 cm), shows the seed level from across the yard.
  • The roof twists open so you can refill from the top.
  • The base tray has 12 drainage holes so rain runs out instead of pooling in the seed.
  • Takes mixed seed, sunflower seed, millet, cracked corn and similar dry bird food.

Green gazebo-style hanging bird feeder with a clear compartment full of mixed seed and a hanging cable

A hanging gazebo bird feeder with 6 ports and room for 2.2 lb of seed

A clear hexagonal compartment under a green roof holds about 2.2 lb (1 kg) of seed and lets it flow to six ports around the base. The green tray catches what the birds scatter, and 12 drainage holes let rain out. It hangs from a cable loop at the top; twist the roof open to refill.

  • Holds about 2.2 lb

The clear compartment takes about 2.2 lb (1 kg) of mixed seed.

  • 6 feeding ports

Six openings around the base let several birds feed at the same time from the tray.

  • Twist-open roof

The roof twists off for filling from the top and back on to keep rain off the seed.

  • 9.1 in tall, 7.1 in wide

About 9.1 in (23 cm) tall by 7.1 in (18 cm) across the roof, weighing about 12.2 oz (345 g) empty, with packaging.

    Where to hang it

    A branch, a shepherd's hook or a porch bracket

The cable loop at the top goes over any hook or branch. Give the feeder some open space so birds can see around it, and keep it out of a cat's reach.

Dimension drawing of the gazebo bird feeder: 9.06 in tall, 7.09 in wide, 5.51 in seed compartment

    Sizes

About 9.1 in tall and 7.1 in across the roof

The seed compartment is about 5.1 × 4.5 × 5.5 in (13 × 11.5 × 14 cm) and shows the seed level from across the yard, so you know when to refill without walking over.

    How it works

Seed flows down to the tray through six ports

The compartment sits on the hexagonal tray; seed feeds out through the six openings at its base as birds eat from the tray. The cable runs through the center to the base, and 12 holes in the tray drain rain.

    • 1. Pick the spot

Choose a branch, hook or bracket with open space around it, high enough to be out of a cat's reach and where you can see it from a window.

    • 2. Fill it

Twist the roof open, pour in up to about 2.2 lb (1 kg) of dry seed and twist the roof closed.

    • 3. Hang it

Hook the cable loop over the branch or hook and check that the feeder hangs level so seed reaches all six ports.

    • 4. Keep it fresh

Every week or two, empty leftover seed, wash the parts in warm soapy water, rinse, dry fully and refill.

      • Size

        About 9.1 in tall × 7.1 in wide (23 × 18 cm) across the roof; seed compartment about 5.1 × 4.5 × 5.5 in (13 × 11.5 × 14 cm).

      • Capacity and ports

Holds about 2.2 lb (1 kg) of seed; six feeding ports at the base; 12 drainage holes in the tray.

      • Material and color

Plastic. Green roof and tray, clear compartment, cable hanging loop.

      • Weight and package

About 12.2 oz (345 g) empty, with packaging. One feeder with hanging cable; seed not included.

        Care and use

Empty old seed, wash the roof, compartment and tray in warm soapy water, rinse and let them dry fully before refilling.

Use dry seed and store the bag indoors. Wet or clumped seed can spoil; tip it out and wash the feeder.

Now and then check that the cable loop and the hook or branch are secure and the feeder hangs level.

Hang it where cats cannot climb to it and away from windows that birds could fly into.
