Measure the gap on each side of your stove and the depth of your counter before ordering. Wipe the stove and counter edges, press the fin down into the gap and let the flat top rest on both sides. The covers are packed folded, so they can arrive creased and need a little time lying flat to settle. A cover rests in the gap rather than sticking down and can shift if it is knocked. Keep the covers along the side edges of the stove, away from the burners, and do not set hot pans, pots or baking sheets on them. Lift them out now and then, wash them by hand in warm soapy water and dry them before putting them back.
